Yeast hopping

With their grant proposal "Yeast hopping", Dr. Mathias Hutzler, Dr. Hubertus Schneiderbanger, Dr. Martina Gastl and Dr. Martin Zarnkow successfully competed against many other exciting research topics for this year's "BarthHaas Grant 2022".

Yeast hopping might have a strong influence on aroma content, enzyme kinetics and oxygen consumption with the help of highly concentrated yeast products,

such as our SmartBev TUM 34/70. Furthermore, this method should be accompanied by an increased microbiological stability of the young beer.
